Be a Badass Baker

You have to start somewhere!
And if you’re already a badass,
well, then you’re halfway there.

I’ll let you in on a secret. While I love making pretty little things like cake and pies and crumbles, some of my favorite recipes are the simplest. The ones that I can set and forget… and treat myself to later. If you’re new to this baking thing, start with a recipe like brownies, you can almost never go wrong with chocolate! Or maybe explore a special treat like cookie bars, a long sheet that can be cut into any shape and size, while still looking presentable in most cases. And who can forget muffins? Always a win in my book- blueberry, strawberry, cinnamon crumble, and everything in between makes an easy treat to enjoy on the go or at home. So if you’re ready to be a badass baker, here’s a three ingredient recipe to get you started:

Simple (Badass) Brownies

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup + 1 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder (I love Ghirardelli’s!)

  • 1 1/2 cup powdered sugar

  • 3 large egg whites

Recipe:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Line an approximately 9 inch by 5 inch baking pan with parchment paper.

  2. Add the unsweetened cocoa powder and powdered sugar to a large mixing bowl and mix both ingredients together with a whisk until evenly combined.

  3. Slowly whisk in egg whites until the batter becomes smooth and thick.

  4. Pour batter into your prepared baking pan baking for 25 minutes. Brownies will be velvety and baked to perfection every time!
